Association for Development and Promotion of Subcarpathian voivodeship "Pro carpathia" was founded in January 2004.
Its main objectives are:
· economic as well as cultural integration of Subcarpathian region
· promotion and development of Subcarpathan voivodeship
· initiatives concerning education, publishing, research and economy
· activities concerning promotion of the Carpathian Mountains’ culture, ethnography and development of tourism
· protection of the natural environment
· establishing first contact centre providing information and capable of initiating a cooperation between individuals, non-governmental organizations, companies from Subcarpathian voivodeship and potential partners from the European Union countries
· providing support in qualifications enhancement (trainings, workshops, conferences)
· development of country areas
These objectives are being carried out through activities such as:
· Providing support at the local level to appearing projects
· Organizing workshops, trainings, consultation meetings, conferences and trade fairs;
· Cooperating with non governmental organizations, state and local institutions as far as development and promotion of the Subcarpathian province is concerned
· Providing support to the network of local initiatives
· Constant monitoring of contemporary socioeconomic and cultural situation of the Subcarpathian voivodeship
· Trading
· Promotion of regional products
